I hope you all had an amazing holiday season, with lots of time spent with family, good food and good friends. As the last few days of 2013 come to an end, I like to reflect on all that I am grateful for this year, as well as my goals and ambitions for the new year. It is also fun to look back on the trends that seemed to be everywhere this year. Just as shag carpet was in every well-appointed home of the 70’s, and mauve and mint green were all the rage in the 80’s, there were a few design elements that seemed to make every design magazine and decorating blog for 2013. Some of these have been around for a few years, while others have made a comeback from decades ago. As in fashion, the same is true for home décor; what comes around goes around. Here is my list of the top 5 design trends for 2013:
1. Gold Accents
2. Moroccan Rugs
3. Leather Poufs
4. Antlers
5. Gallery Walls
